Sukhumvit’s Best Office Lunches

Who would have thought that Bangkok is one of the best foodie cities in southeast Asia? With over hundreds of restaurants, street food carts, and fine dining, there’s a lot of unique and exquisite dishes. It’s almost too hard to choose what foods you’re truly craving. You won’t have any problem working up an appetite, especially if you’re stuck in meetings and slammed with projects at the office. Why not try one of these incredible lunch spots in the Sukhumvit district? We’ll share with you our favorite afternoon delights and delicious lunch specials. Warning: your stomach might start rumbling after reading this guide.

Supanniga Eating Room

Inspired by the comfort foods of northeast Thailand, Supanniga Eating Room is one of the best Thai restaurants here in the Sukhumvit district. They serve classic Thai dishes with a gourmet twist. You can’t go wrong ordering the Pad Thai with crabmeat and crab roe or the Wok Fried Seafood Suki, which is one of the Chef’s Signature plates. When you take a bite at one of the many famous Thai meals at Supanniga, you will feel as if you were eating at your own home. The food is not only comforting, but the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing.

The restaurant is very spacious and there is an outdoor terrace, which makes a great office getaway. On the veranda, there is a comfy corner of couches and it is known for being the best seats in the restaurant. Try one of the several lunch specials they offer, you won’t regret it.

Cocotte’s Farm Roast and Winery

If you’re looking for a farm-to-table restaurant in Bangkok, your chances of finding one are very slim. Fortunately, Cocotte’s is one of the only restaurants in the capital city that strives to serve locally sourced from sustainable farm operations within Thailand. The cozy bistro serves savory French favorites such as The Tartar “Au Couteau” made with Angus beef and The Truffle Cocotte Camembert cheese platter.

If you’re looking for a great lunch salad, this is the best spot. Not only do they have delicious dressings made with walnuts, mangos, and lemongrass, but all the greens are from a nearby farm. They open for lunch from 11am-3pm everyday.

Cabbages and Condoms

Although the name of the restaurant is risque and misleading, you have to remind yourself that you are working in Bangkok after all. However, there is a significant meaning behind the name. Anytime you order one of their flavorful Thai dishes, you are supporting the Population and Community Development Association (PDA). The PDA spreads awareness about sexual health issues and avoiding unwanted pregnancies to Thai citizens so they can stay safe and live a healthy life. The main motto of this restaurant is “Our food won’t make you pregnant.”

Aside from the fact that you’ll be supporting a great cause when you eat here, the food is beyond excellent. From classic curry dishes like Panang Gung (shrimps marinated in a thick curry paste) to the famous Khao Phad Kai rice dish, there’s something for everyone on the menu. They have a variety of soups, salads, and appetizers for lunch. Be sure to eat at Cabbages and Condoms for a fun outside-the-office atmosphere.

May Veggie Home

If you and your co-workers are looking for a delicious and vegetarian-friendly lunch spot, welcome yourselves to May Veggie Home. There are so many tasty Thai dishes with extravagant meat substitutes. Be sure to get an order of their Grilled Vegetarian Bacon with mushrooms wrapped inside along with their Yum-Tuna-Foo (a fake tuna dish with sweet and sour mango dressing).

Their location is only a five-minute walk from the Sky Train and the perfect place to work outside the office if needed. There is free WiFi in the restaurant and plenty of outlets so you can continue to work if needed. They also have a delivery menu in case you’re looking to host a luncheon in your office building.
