MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Swim through the competition with Antony Bell

In this month’s Member Spotlight, we’d like to introduce you Antony Bell, the owner of Goldfish SEO, a dedicated Search Engine Optimization company. We asked Antony some questions to get to know him and learn about the journey he’s been on, career-wise.

Let’s start with the basics. Who is Goldfish SEO and what is your role in the company?

Goldfish SEO is a dedicated Search Engine Optimization company based in Bangkok and Brisbane Australia. We help businesses with Local, National, and International (Corporate) SEO. I am the Managing Director of the company, along with a small team of Thai SEO, in-house writers, graphic designers, and web Techies.

Can you tell us a little about the history of your company? When was it founded, what sparked it, etc.?

The company was first founded in 2017 by my wife and myself. I have been in Marketing since leaving the Royal Air Force in 2006, working for large companies like HSBC and Treedom. Writing content and marketing financial products across the UK, later in Hong Kong, and across SE Asia, the middle east. We felt the time was right to start our own business and provide small to medium-sized companies with high-quality marketing in Thailand. One year later we decided to branch out to Australia.

What type of businesses would benefit most from your services?

Start-ups, Companies within the growth stage of the company life cycle benefit mostly from our services.

What has been your favorite project and why?

My favorite projects are always ones from where we start from the base of a new URL, no traffic, no website, and no rankings on Google. We then watch that grow into a great online business.

How has the Covid-19 pandemic affected you and your business – positively or negatively?

It has been pretty positive, as we have increased business. Some companies took advantage of others not doing anything and put all their efforts into marketing online.

Let’s talk a little about you. What do you enjoy when you are not working?

What do you mean ‘when I am not working?’ I run a business…lol. I like to paint and airbrush motorcycle helmets for friends.

What made you choose Antares as your home base for your company?

We looked at so many places up and down Sukhumvit. However, when we came to Antares, you made it easy. Great location, friendly staff, everything we needed within the price and a great coffee machine.
